WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT: Swiss duo hits with a very smooth and suave single.
SOME WORDS, PHRASES AND CLAUSES ABOUT THIS RECORD: Not many pop stars come from Switzerland. Double was the first Swiss act to hit the Billboard charts with the smooth, sultry Captain of Her Heart. It stood out on radio as it wasn’t hair metal or dance pop. Every one knew the name of their group was pronounced doo-blay as well,
The album is seven other similar songs to the hit with only one or so being noteworthy. The rest are mostly unmemorable. Very smooth and well-played, but unmemorable. Soon, they faded into the distance after one more album. All we have now is the hook from their only hit.
NOTES & MINUTAE: They released a three-song single before this album in a different motif.
IS THERE A DELUXE VERSION: A couple of different mixes are tacked on.
GRADE: C: Well played, well produced and BORING.
EXILED – except for the hit and another single.
