WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT: Lyrics? Oh, you want lyrics? Here, here are two big hits with six words each.

SOME WORDS, PHRASES AND CLAUSES ABOUT THIS RECORD: “Fly Robin Fly” and “Get Up and Boogie”. Two songs that highlight the vapidity, the funk, and the beats of disco. Yeah, it’s not a genre that you really care about the lyrical content, you care about the beat, the funk and how it blends in with the other songs you’re dancing to.

So that’s great in a disco in the 70’s. But listening to this now? Well, after three or four songs you hear every trick in the bag by them. Semi-funky backing tracks with incessant strings and Stepford Wives vocals. Lyrics? When they have more lyrics than just a chorus, it’s embarrassing.

Really, there’s no there there.

NOTES & MINUTIAE: “Fly Robin Fly” was originally called “Run Rabbit Run”. I wonder what the other words were?

IS THERE A DELUXE VERSION: No. There are plenty of collections around, why you’d want them is anyone’s guess.

GRADE: C-: It’s well-made shlock, but stuff like this gave disco a bad name.
