WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT: Hits collection focusing on her first three albums.
SOME WORDS, PHRASES AND CLAUSES ABOUT THIS RECORD: I know, I know, I reviewed her first album in full, but then I decided there’s no real use for all of her separate records since the hits were the thing.
The disappointing aspect of that is that when she moved to MCA from EMI, there’s not a comprehensive hits collection streaming, nor a hits collection from her MCA stuff, so I’m kinda stuck there.
At any rate, Kim Wilde’s voice is kinda…there. For the most part these have some exciting dance sounds even with her seemingly disinterested vocals. And somehow she got a hit from a song called “Cambodia”
NOTES & MINUTIAE: Almost every song was written by her father Marty and brother Ricky.
IS THERE A DELUXE VERSION: No
GRADE: C+: I exilded a few, and, well, most everything is fair and indistinguishable from one another (except for “Kids in America” and maybe “Love Blonde” but that’s not a complement on the latter, really.)
